honors physics is hard in high school if you don’t have the necessary skills and basics for it, the main skills and foundation to study honors skills in high school is to have a solid background in math, especially algebra.

In other words, you should have taken an algebra course, especially algebra 2 and precalculus which is very important to study it early in high school.

As result, You should be doing well in this course, these courses will give you some foundation in calculus like in derivatives and integrals, and it will be better and make your job easier to understand some groups of topics, especially kinematics.
